SAILING TASTER EXPERIENCE

The river and estuary of Salcombe in South Devon is among the finest places in the world to learn to sail.

This delightful half day experience is for 3 hours and will give you a wonderful introduction to this amazing sport. This is how Dame Ellen MacArthur started her inspiring career and now it is for you to follow in her footsteps (or at least - her wake!)

Your sailing experience will be enjoyed in a very safe and robust Wayfarer dinghy with a highly experienced and fully qualified RYA instructor helping you get the very most of your time on the water.

After your safety brief, you will get involved in all aspects of the sailing from steering with the tiller to handling both sails and you will learn how to tack and gybe the boat as well as trim the sails correctly for fast effective sailing.

This is a truly great experience for anybody keen to try sailing but not ready to commit to a full RYA course.

(If you already have some sailing experience and can provide your own wetsuit then you will be able to enjoy your experience on a single crew Laser Peco with your instructor close at hand in the safety boat.)
